How to read your score

What your performance score means

Google rates every page from 0 to 100. Here is what each range means for your visitors and your rankings.

⚡
90 to 100: Good

Fast

Great performance. Visitors enjoy a smooth experience and you get an SEO advantage.

⏳
50 to 89: Needs improvement

Moderate

Acceptable but could be faster. Optimizing images and scripts usually gives quick wins.

🐢
0 to 49: Poor

Slow

Needs attention. Slow pages lose visitors. Minify CSS and JS, enable caching and compress images.

Good to know

Page speed questions, answered

Quick answers about scores, mobile speed and how to improve.

What is a good PageSpeed score?

Google treats 90 to 100 as good, 50 to 89 as needs improvement and below 50 as poor. Aim for green on both mobile and desktop.

Why are my mobile and desktop scores different?

Mobile tests simulate a slower phone and network connection, so scores are usually lower than desktop. Google ranks mobile-first, so the mobile score matters most.

Why does my score change between tests?

Small changes are normal because of network conditions, server load and third-party scripts. Run the test a couple of times and look at the overall trend.

What are Core Web Vitals?

They are Google's key measures of user experience: how fast the main content loads (LCP), how responsive the page feels (INP and Total Blocking Time) and how stable the layout is (CLS).

How can I make my website faster?

Compress and resize images, enable caching, minify CSS and JavaScript, remove unused plugins and scripts, use a CDN and choose quality hosting.

Is this page speed checker free?

Yes. It is completely free, needs no sign-up and runs a real Google PageSpeed Insights test on both mobile and desktop.
